An 1820s English Regency ram's-horn armchair on sabre legs, constructed of solid mahogany. The back has a rectangular, concave crest rail mortised between the upper leg posts and over a horizontal back rail, decorated with brass stringing and fan/sunburst-motif tack inlay. The seat frame holds an upholstered boxed slip seat, stuffed with horse hair and batting, and covered in yellow silk damask with a central medallion design. Sold as a single chair.
