Vintage English Sheffield champagne bucket or wine cooler with paired tray dating to the first half of the twentieth century. The bowl is hand chased with repoussé fruit and flowers, finished with a cast gadroon edge, and its domed foot repeats the same repoussé pattern as the body. The tray carries an engraved floral motif with a cast grape and leaf rim, and rests on three hemispheric feet.

Stamped on the underside of the bowl: Silver On Copper, Made In England

PERIOD: 1900-50

MATERIALS: Silver on copper (Sheffield Plate)

CONDITION: Marks and wear commensurate with age and use. Some minimal wear to the plating on the punch bowl and more extensive wear to the high points of plating on the tray. See photos for detail.
