A Federal-era Massachusetts Hepplewhite drop-leaf Pembroke table in Honduran mahogany with a wide, single-board rectangular top. The apron is fitted with one drawer, its brass pull set in the original boring, above four square, tapered legs. The long sides drop on cut-corner leaves, carried on butterfly brackets rather than the more common swing-leg support. This provides an unusually wide stance for a Pembroke table, and one that makes the leaves genuinely functional rather than decorative.
