Applied loop handles, evenly sized, ring the shoulder. The jar sits on a forged iron stand finished in a powder-coated bronze, lifting it to a height where you'd place it as a floor piece - flanking a doorway or holding its own in a corner with room to walk around it. The piece can be presented by itself or with its custom fabricated stand if you want a bit of height or layering with other objects.

DIMENSIONS: 17" W (at rim) x 37" H (jar alone)

ORIGIN: Mediterranean

PERIOD: 19th century

MATERIALS: Terra-cotta, green glaze; forged iron stand, powder-coated bronze.

CONDITION: Glaze pitting and small losses on the shoulder exposing the clay body underneath.
