American Neoclassic mahogany wash stand. The stand has a bowed basin shelf on a conforming apron with scroll cut splash. The lower stretcher drawer is mounted with paired and stamped gilt brass drop ring pulls. The front of the upper shelf is supported by dramatically carved “S” scrolls which extend to the medial shelf drawer. The upper shelf has a circular opening for a basin and two flanking holes to receive a cup or a mug. A custom solid mahogany removable secondary top has been fitted over the basin shelf. The rear of the aproned basin shelf is supported by turned elements which continue into turned legs with ring and spike feet. The drawer secondary wood is Spanish cedar.

CONDITION: Excellent condition overall. All wood surfaces have been clean and polished with shellac. A solid mahogany removable board has been fabricated and fitted to the top basin shelf for additional functionality and usability. Wear commensurate with age and use.
