Each has three lights on six-sided looped arms, their fluted tulip-form candle cups echoing the central cup on the same design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe full armature lifts off, so each piece can be converted down to a single candlestick: a fluted tulip candle cup on a waisted post, over a tapering trumpet-form shaft with ring turnings, set on a fan-fluted circular base. That convertibility was a practical feature for eighteenth-century dining tables, allowing the table to be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVisible on the base of each candelabra is an engraved griffin with wings spread.
